
Lila Abed
Lila Abed is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Verado Consulting, and Director of the Mexico Dialogue at the Inter-American Dialogue. She previously served as Director of the Wilson Center’s Mexico Institute, where she led research and high-level engagement on U.S.-Mexico relations. With experience across government, media, and international policy, she brings a sharp understanding of both bilateral cooperation and public discourse. A former White House correspondent for NTN24, she remains a trusted voice in Mexico through regular appearances on Radio Fórmula and weekly columns in El Heraldo de México and Opinión51.

Lila has held senior roles on both sides of the border, including as Public Policy Advisor for Latin America at Covington & Burling, International Affairs Advisor to the Mexican Chamber of Deputies, and Chief of Staff at Mexico’s Office of the Attorney General. She also served in Mexico’s embassies in Canada and the United Kingdom. A former candidate for Mexico City’s Chamber of Deputies, she brings a rare combination of political experience, global insight, and public-facing leadership to every engagement.
